  • 49 Years of Recovery Celebration

    Hybrid Event

    Join the Houma, Louisiana OA Groups as they celebrate 49 years of recovery with a day of fellowship, inspiration, and connection. This hybrid celebration welcomes members to attend either in person or on Zoom for a day centered on recovery and the OA Fellowship. 
    The program will feature a face-to-face speaker, fellowship throughout the day, and opportunities to celebrate nearly five decades of carrying the message of recovery. Lunch will be on your own, with the option to bring a brown bag lunch or visit nearby restaurants. 

  • Relapse Prevention Speaker Workshop

    Join us for a quarterly relapse prevention workshop focused on shared experience, strength, and hope.

    A speaker will share their experience with relapse and relapse prevention, offering participants an opportunity to hear how recovery can continue through challenges and setbacks.

  • Virtual Meeting Security Training

    Virtual Event

    Join us for a virtual security training workshop designed to help members provide service and support safer Overeaters Anonymous virtual meetings.

    The training will review current Zoom host and security tools, including recent changes to how those controls look and function. Previously trained members are encouraged to attend to refresh their skills and stay up to date.

    Experience with Zoom co-hosting is required. Each session is approximately two hours, and advance registration is mandatory.

  • Holiday and Food Plan Recovery Workshop

    Join us for a workshop exploring how to navigate holidays, celebrations, travel, dinner invitations, spiritual practices, and health needs while staying grounded in the Overeaters Anonymous program.

    Participants will share practical tools for planning ahead, making thoughtful temporary adjustments to a food plan when needed, and returning to their regular food plan with clarity and confidence.

  • Secular Step Study Guide Discussion

    Join us for three virtual sessions helping create a secular Step Study Guide for Steps One, Two, and Three.

    Participants are invited to share their own understanding of each Step and how they work it as part of a deity-free recovery journey. Each 90-minute session will focus on one Step, and the shared experiences will help shape locally produced Overeaters Anonymous literature for meetings with an atheist, agnostic, or secular focus.

    No writing is necessary. The sessions will be transcribed, so participants can simply come prepared to share their experience. For questions or language translation needs, contact the organizers in advance.

  • Body Acceptance and Recovery Workshop

    Join us for a virtual workshop exploring body acceptance through diverse experiences in Overeaters Anonymous recovery.

    Five speakers will share their experience, strength, and hope around body acceptance, including perspectives on living in a larger body, aging, anorexia and bulimia, and the experience of men in recovery.

    Following the speaker shares, participants will have an opportunity for guided reflection and open sharing. Please bring something to write with and something to write on.

  • Secular Twelve Step Recovery Workshop

    Join us for a virtual workshop exploring how atheists, agnostics, and freethinkers can work the Twelve Steps in Overeaters Anonymous.

    Speakers will share their experience, strength, and hope, followed by a question-and-answer session and open sharing. Participants can hear different perspectives on approaching the Steps and recovery without a traditional belief in God.

  • Diversity Workshop

    Join us for an interactive workshop exploring what Overeaters Anonymous means by having “no opinion on outside issues” and how the Traditions can guide recovery-focused meetings.

  • Diversity and Outside Issues Workshop

    Join us for an interactive workshop exploring what Overeaters Anonymous means by having “no opinion on outside issues” and how the Traditions can guide recovery-focused meetings.

    Through discussion and reflection, participants will explore the difference between promoting an outside issue and sharing personal experiences that affect recovery. Together, we will consider ways to honor the Traditions while helping create welcoming, inclusive spaces where members feel safe sharing their experience.

  • Basic Canva Lesson

    Virtual Event

    Canva is a user-friendly online graphic tool that helps people create visual projects without needing any design skills. When you complete this lesson, you will be able to create flyers and more. You will receive the Zoom ID and passcode at the end of the registration.
